Photography

The �鶹ҹ�� reserves the right to photograph members of the University community, including but not limited to, its students and faculty, in situations appropriate to the image of an academic institution. These photos may be used in University publications, marketing materials, social media or on the University website.

The University will, to the extent feasible, honor requests from those who do not wish to have their images photographed or published.

How to have your photo removed

If your photograph has been published on the University’s website, social media, or in other marketing materials and you wish to have it removed, email website@louisiana.edu with a link to the page or post that contains the relevant photo.

Text messaging

The University's text messaging service gives you the option to subscribe to receive text messages from the �鶹ҹ�� (“�鶹ҹ��”) on your mobile device regarding the admission process. Subscribing to this service is not required to apply for or gain admission to �鶹ҹ��.

If you consent to receive text messages, the Office of Undergraduate Recruitment will send you information regarding your admission process. The messages might be related to your application status, include financial aid deadlines, and related events details. This service is to provide you information via text messaging about matters that �鶹ҹ�� deems helpful and pertinent to the admission process. Message frequency varies.

All costs associated with receiving a text message are the responsibility of the individual receiving the message. Receiving mobile text messages from �鶹ҹ�� is completely free of charge. However, text messaging rates from your wireless carrier still apply. Check with your mobile operator for details on receiving text messages (SMS). Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

All users may opt-out or unsubscribe from receiving optional text messages from the �鶹ҹ�� Office of Undergraduate Recruitment at any time by responding to the text message itself or by contacting the �鶹ҹ�� Office of Undergraduate Recruitment at recruitment@louisiana.edu. If you elect to opt-out, Text STOP to cancel. You will no longer receive text messages from the �鶹ҹ�� Office of Undergraduate Recruitment unless you were to re-subscribe to such services.

As technology is ever-changing, �鶹ҹ�� cannot guarantee that the information visitors transmit electronically is completely secure. �鶹ҹ�� makes every effort to protect the privacy of its users, however, it cannot guarantee the security of information that users transmit and users transmit such information at their own risk. Acceptance of this Admissions Text Messaging Privacy Policy is a condition of the use of the text messaging services and users agree to be bound by its terms and conditions. The resolution of any disputes concerning this Policy are exclusively subject to and governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflicts of laws principles.
