We can't wait to see you at SOUL Camp! To ensure a seamless and positive camp experience, please review all of the details below thoroughly. 

SOUL Camp Dates

  • SOUL Camp A: August 15-17, 2026
  • SOUL Camp B: August 19-21, 2026

Camper information for Summer 2026 can be found below. 

Registered campers will receive email updates as SOUL Camp approaches. Campers should check their email regularly. SOUL Camp information will be communicated to the email address provided during New Student Orientation.

Camp Check-In & Parking

Residential Camper Check-In

Students living on campus in a residence hall for the Fall semester are able to move into their residence hall early! SOUL Camp Check-In and Housing Move-In occur from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Day 1 of your registered camp session. 

Move-in details will be sent to 2026 SOUL Camp participants at their university and personal email addresses on Friday, August 7, 2026. If you do not receive that information, please email soulcamp@louisiana.edu.

 

Residential Camper Parking

Residential campers who wish to have a vehicle on campus during SOUL Camp and/or during the school year must purchase a permit for their designated zone. You can review your permit option(s) by following the instructions below.

After acquiring your permit, residential campers will be able to park in their designated parking permit area throughout the duration of SOUL Camp and into the school year.

You can obtain your Fall parking permit:

  1. with your ULID and password.
  2. Access the Parking & Transportation card.
  3. Click "Access My Parking Account."
  4. Follow the prompts to register your vehicle and purchase your permit. 

Important Parking Notes

  • Please do not leave valuables in your vehicle. We are not responsible for items that may be lost or stolen during Camp.
  • All vehicles must park head in so that your license plate is visible from the aisle.
  • If you don't see the residential permit option, check back the next business day to see if your parking portal has been updated.
  • Parents/Guests/Rental Vehicles. Any vehicle that is not registered with the university may park in the Girard Park Parking Tower until noon on move-in day (#32 on our campus map). Hourly fees will not apply that day, so do not enter payment information after you park.

Commuter Camper Check-In

If you are not living on campus this fall, you are a commuter for SOUL Camp. You will join us each day for all the activities and head home each evening rather than staying in the residence halls. Our halls are being prepped for Fall 2026 residents during camp, so on-campus housing will not be available. You will still enjoy the full SOUL Camp experience right alongside everyone else!

Commuter check-in is 10:00 to 10:45am on August 15 in Wharton Hall, Room 222. Camp begins at 10:45am in that same room, so plan to be checked in and seated by then.

 

Commuter Camper Parking

Commuter campers who want a vehicle on campus during camp or the school year must get a permit. The Cajun Field permit is $0, but you still must register for it; other paid options may appear in My Parking Account. You must have a permit or the free Cajun Field registration before you park. Once you do, you can park in the Taft Street Garage throughout camp.

You can obtain your Fall parking permit:

  1. with your ULID and password.
  2. Access the Parking & Transportation card.
  3. Click "Access My Parking Account."
  4. Follow the prompts to register your vehicle and purchase your permit. 

SOUL Camp A commuter campers will park in the Taft Street Parking Garage. 

SOUL Camp B commuter campers will park in the Girard Park Circle Parking Garage.

If you will not keep a vehicle on campus during the day, you can be dropped off in front of the Student Union (right next to Wharton Hall).

Campus map: Taft Street Parking Garage is #66, Girard Park Circle Parking Garage is #32 the Student Union is #65, and Wharton Hall is #71.

Schedule Highlights

SOUL Camp will take place on the 麻豆夜市 campus and at various community service project sites in the Acadiana area. 

Early Move-In Option

Students living on campus and participating in SOUL Camp A and B will move into their assigned Residence Hall room during Check-In/Move-In on the first day of their camp session. 

Krewe Time

Campers will be assigned to small groups, better known as Krewes during camp. Each Krewe will lead by two of our student mentors.

Community Service Project

During SOUL Camp Day of Service, campers will be grouped with student mentors and faculty/staff members from the University to complete a variety of community service projects in the Acadiana region.

Pump It Up!

Krewes will showcase their Ragin' Cajun pride through Krewe chants, cheers, banners, and skits. Each Krewe symbolizes a significant University tradition or special piece of campus history. During Pump It Up, you'll learn about the rich traditions, culture, and history that make our campus so unique.

Ragin' Routine Rounds

Ragin' Routine Rounds is designed to mimic a typical class day. Students will attend four "classes" on the topics of Personality, Career Preparation, Leadership, and Academic Success.

Remember, this is a three-day camp experience and we will be spending some time outdoors. You should pack and bring what you need with you each day. We start early and end late, so bring a backpack for your daily items.

What Not to Bring

SOUL Camp is an official 麻豆夜市 event and will be tobacco-, drug-, and alcohol-free. Weapons or other destructive devices are not allowed at SOUL Camp. Any camper who brings such items will be subject to the and will be asked to leave camp immediately. 

All campers are required to submit the SOUL Camp Participation Agreement. Please print the form, fill it out, and turn it in during SOUL Camp Check-In.

Krewe de SOUL

At SOUL Camp, campers are assigned to a small group known as a Krewe. Each Krewe is led by two student mentors who will guide you through the camp experience and will continue to serve as a support system throughout your time at 麻豆夜市.
