A student must complete their Application for Degree by the deadline to be recognized as a graduate of the University, included in the program, and receive their diploma on time must be aware of the following information.
Application for Degree
Students must accurately complete and submit the Application for Degree and pay the $90.00 fee, which is posted to your Statement of Account as soon as you submit the application. The application can be accessed through ULink, and payments can also be made through your Statement of Account on .

Please Note:
There are two graduation application deadlines: the priority deadline (which offers early benefits, such as priority registration for the following term) and the final deadline (required to graduate in your intended term).
If you miss the priority application deadline, you will need to wait until the application for that term reopens before applying.
If you miss the final application deadline for your intended graduation term, please get in touch with graduation@louisiana.edu for assistance.
Additional Information
- The Application for Degree fee covers costs associated with Commencement and includes two diplomas: a plaque-mounted diploma for display and an official loose diploma.
- If your application is moved after the deadline or you do not clear, a $30 reapplication fee will be charged to your statement of account. This will cover the reprint of your diplomas for the new term of graduation.
- Spring Graduate: April 1
- Summer Graduate: July 1
- Fall Graduate: November 1
