Program Requirements

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the M.S. in Engineering & Technology Management program online, you must have:

Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology, engineering technology, engineering, or a closely aligned program from an accredited institution.*
An overall cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher; or a cumulative GPA calculated over the last 60 hours of your undergraduate curriculum of 3.0 or higher, which is calculated using courses of engineering and sciences.

*Applicants with other degrees may be considered; however, leveling courses will be required for those students to ensure an acceptable knowledge base. Required leveling courses will be determined by the departmental Graduate Affairs Committee on a case-by-case basis in consultation with the Department Head of Engineering Technology. For information about leveling courses, contact the department.

Students in the M.S. in Engineering & Technology Management program must complete 30 credit hours, including 15 hours of required core courses. You may choose your core courses from:

STEC 510 - Risk Assessment and Safety Management Systems Credit Hours: 3

STEC 531 - Materials Technology and Applications Credit Hours: 3

Students must also complete a thesis or project.

Eligibility

Because courses in this program will only be available online, the program may not be available to all applicants. The �鶹ҹ�� and its online programs must be in compliance in every state where a student is located. International students also may not be eligible. According to U.S. immigration regulations, F-1 students cannot pursue online degrees; international students in other visa categories (i.e., H-4, L2) are exempt from this restriction.
